Update on the E-democracy project

John Götze

The project on e-democracy in GOL countries is moving on. The Netherlands has produced a project description, and sent out a questionnarie. Both these documents are available here.

The aim of this Government Online project is to provide guidance for national governments that wish to establish a productive form of online public consultations. We bring this about by the compilation of existing and new material from member countries in line with the steps described above. The result of this inventory will be discussed at the GOL meeting in Mexico in September 2001. At this meeting the material will be reviewed and analyzed with a view to lessons learned, white spots and future work.

Read the full project description (PDF-file).

All members have also received the questionnaire, which should be completed by 1 August 2001.
